A relatively short era. Most of my final grades are in (except FI). In Biological Concepts I’ll be getting a B, which I knew before finals because I wasn’t taking the one in that class. In Intro to Engineering I’ll be getting an A, with an 89 on the final, which I’m actually semi-disappointed about. And in International Relations I’ll be getting a B, with a 79 on the final, which is also disappointing. The IR final isn’t disappointing because I did bad so much as I could’ve (and should’ve) done better. Granted, my retention from listening is good, I didn’t study enough, and it showed. But it is what it is. Focused Inquiry I think (perhaps wrongly) that I’ll be getting an A if only because everyone got two 100’s on the first two assignments, and I don’t know what I got on my Unit 2 paper. Then again my midterm grade was a B…not sure how.

My final, final grades are in. As I thought/hoped, I got two A’s and two B’s….A’s in Engineering and FI, B’s in Biological Concepts and International Relations. I feel like next semester I should be able to get an A in engineering, calculus, and philosophy,  FI and a B in physics…or somehow 3 A’s and 2 B’s….we shall see.

I thought I’d also take a brief moment and talk about the semester and my introduction to college. In honesty it wasn’t as bad as I was expecting, which was that (like everyone had always told me) the teachers would give you the dates of the assignments, not mention them again, and if you did them good if not sucks for you…it wasn’t anything like that. Granted, that may be because this was my first semester and professors know that maturity doesn’t happen magically over those 2 months from highschool. College life isn’t much different aside from the obvious living with 5 guys and whatnot…Although I am noting a change occurring in my personality…one that I don’t mind either. I see myself subtly changing into a more social/talkative person, who doesn’t quite filter what they say as much (outside of class), which I enjoy. I’m still not the type of guy that goes out and parties every weekend (or very much at all) which I also don’t mind.

All of that being said, I am still looking forward to forthcoming semesters and continuing the path to engineering, which as of now, I still aspire to (I’d like to deal with: weapons, cars, astronomy/space, preferably). It will be a long month though. With less to do and more time to not do it, it’ll be a long one, but I’ll find something to do..if you wanna drop an idea, go for it, but you’d have to read this first.

I’ve rambled on for far too long.
G’day
